In the 18-22 minute section your comments regarding standardization are on point! The right to repair is infringed by integrating all compinents in to a non-replaceable piece part. The standardization also needs to be applied to lighting controls. It is all but impossible to control lighting in a simple elegant way. -10, DALI, BTLE for lighting, ZIGBee, Triac( ELV / MLV ) and manufacturing propriatary methods are available but almost no control system can control them without a lot of human interaction ( Commissioning) The Idea of DC lighting with a standard voltage and current source is a reasonable idea. In the event there is a standard DC vltage and current source yes you can remove driver components.
